I almost didn’t post tonight. My heart is breaking over the loss of my Grandpa yesterday. He was seriously the most amazing man. Charming and funny, kind and caring, a faithful and loving husband, an excellent father and example to everyone, and such a fun grandpa. He was my “big fella”. We had a special bond since I was a little kid and I just can’t stop crying. I miss him terribly.
He and my grandma were married for 61 years and they were still so in love – my husband and I have said for years that we want to be just like them. They are such a good example to us. My heart aches for her…
This is one of my favorite photos. My grandma, daughter, and grandpa having a blast together.
I decided to post tonight because my Grandpa loved a good party. So lets make this the best party yet – for him, okay?

Ohhh I’m so sorry for your loss:(
I just recently lost my mom (far too young, and FAR too fast). It still makes my heart sink when I think about it, which happens to be several times a day. I hope your grandpa comes back to surround your spirit and keep you company in ways that you never imaged before. He’ll never leave you! Just remember that. My heart hurts for you…..hang in there!!! Be strong!!! He is in an unbelievably beautiful place.
