I have partnered with Kraft and Collective Bias to bring you this fun holiday dessert recipe for Brownie Snowballs!
I had a lot of fun creating this fun holiday recipe. Brownies are my favorite food on the planet and I have used a rich, fudgy brownie recipe along with some holiday baking staples to make these festive Brownie Snowballs!
Last week I went to Walmart to stock up on some of my favorite holiday baking supplies. As I was browsing the aisles the idea for these snowballs hit me! So I grabbed some marshmallows, coconut, bakers chocolate, and coffee. Can’t forget the coffee
I knew these would be a big hit with my kids, and they will make a great addition to my Christmas goodie trays too!
These take a few steps to make, but they are really easy. First you bake up the brownies, making sure to pull them from the oven while they’re still nice and fudgy. You can’t over bake them or you won’t be able to make snowballs. Once the brownies cool, cut them into squares and put a few mini marshmallows in the center, Then roll the brownies into balls around the marshmallows. Stick them in the freezer for a bit and grab a cup of coffee.
The you dunk the balls into melted white chocolate and roll them in coconut. Voila! Brownie Snowballs!
These are such a fun, festive treat to try this holiday season.
|Cook time||20 minutes|
- 4oz unsweetened Bakers Chocolate
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee (I used Maxwell House)
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 36 mini marshmallows (I used Jet Puffed)
- 14oz white chocolate
- 2 1/2 cups shredded coconut (I used Bakers)
|Preheat oven to 350 |
In a large bowl melt the bakers chocolate with butter in the microwave. Stir until smooth. Add coffee, sugar and eggs, one at a time, stirring after each addition. Add salt and flour and mix until combined. Pour batter into a greased 9x13" pan. Bake about 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the brownies comes out with fudgy crumbs. Let cool.
|Cut the brownies into 18 squares and cut off the edges. Slightly flatten each brownie and roll them into balls around 2 mini marshmallows. Set the balls on a cookie sheet and freeze for about 30 minutes.|
|Melt white chocolate according to package instructions and dip each brownie ball into the chocolate until well coated. Immediately roll in coconut. Set on a cookie sheet until the chocolate sets up. |
Store in a covered container.
